Infrared photography opens the door to a completely different way of seeing the world — and the TruColor Extreme IR 470 camera filter delivers one of the boldest looks possible. Designed for infrared (IR)-converted cameras, the TCIR470 creates surreal, hyper-saturated landscapes filled with glowing foliage, electric skies and vivid color shifts that can’t be achieved in standard visible-light photography.
Unlike deeper IR filters that produce more monochromatic or muted tones, the Extreme IR 470 allows a large amount of visible (VIS) spectrum light to mix with IR wavelengths. The result is an intense “false color” IR effect. Healthy vegetation reflects IR light intensely, causing trees and grass to glow with bright yellow, white or golden tones. Skies often deepen into rich cyan and cobalt blue shades, creating dramatic contrast throughout the image.
